• Pauline Roberts | 12 Feb 2013, 22:08 Our special sunset wedding We got married in a ceremony on Friday 8th February 2013 at 7.30 pm.  We were the first couple to take advantage of the new legislation allowing evening weddings around the Great Bath at the Pump Rooms.

    It was magical!

All the staff at the Pump Rooms and the Searcys staff were fantastic and helped to make it a very special occasion for us and our guests.

After the ceremony we had a beautiful meal in the museum.

All in all an unforgettable night - thanks to everyone at the Pump Rooms

    Pauline and Pete

  • Nicola McTiernan | 10 Dec 2012, 15:39 Dinner at Pump Rooms 5th December
We thoroughly enjoyed the pre dinner drinks by the hot springs and then to have dinner on the private balcony was wonderful.  The staff were very helpful and the food was delicious. I would recommend and also would go back tomorrow.

A stunning venue, very helpful and friendly staff, thanks to Tom for all his help on the day and Gemma for all her help over email. It was lovely to be able to go into the Baths themselves for some photos. Overall I would highly recommend Baths Historic buildings for any event.

  • Lucy Inder | 26 Jun 2012, 09:51 Living Buildings in the Guildhall We would like to extend a huge thank you to all of the staff who helped before, during and after our event which helped to make it such a success.  The venue was beautiful and our requests were all met without any trouble and carried out just as we wished them to be.  The staff on site were extremely friendly and were on hand for both physical and moral help!  We would absolutly recommend the venue for anyone looking to host an event in Bath and would gladly use the venue again.

  • Carol Symon | 10 Nov 2010, 15:41 September Wedding in Baths Historic Buildings The team from Bath's Historic Buildings provided endless help when we were organising our wedding in The Pump Rooms and reception in The Banqueting Hall.  Our frequent questions regarding details and arrangements were always greeted with a speedy response.  On the day the staff on duty were equally friendly and attentive - ensuring no disasters happened!  We were very impressed by Cuisine of Midford (Sarah Fawcett) whose food, staff and professionalism were to be recommended. Thank you to all involved for helping us enjoy a wonderful day.  Carol and Lindsay Symon.

  • Sammy Walden | 15 Oct 2010, 12:00 Perfect wedding at the Assembly Rooms We were married in the Assembly Rooms in July 2010, and it really was wonderful! We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful venue, more helpful staff, or a more perfect day.     The Octagon Room was the perfect place to get married, it’s a beautiful room and has a fantastic, ‘stately’ feel to it. We then had reception drinks in the Card Room/ courtyard, followed by the wedding breakfast in the Tea Room: the layout of the rooms made the whole event flow really well, our guests mingled happily and there was no separation which can sometimes happen at weddings. In the evening, too, it was great having the Card Room and courtyard for people looking to move away from the music and have a chat.     From start to finish, the Assembly Rooms and Bath’s Historic Buildings staff were outstanding, nothing was too much trouble and we were so impressed, and grateful to them, for making our day so perfect and making us feel special. It can be a bit nerve-wracking in the lead up to the day itself, especially with so many things to remember and making sure all the little details are sorted out, so having friendly and helpful staff to chat to really makes all the difference.     The building itself is elegant and has a fantastic atmosphere. There are no words to describe how amazing the Tea Room looked (although I’ll give it a try), it took our breath away when we made our entrance. It was just magical – the blinds were down, the chandeliers looked stunning and there was just a sea of flowers and tea lights, and to us, it looked like the most romantic place in the world!     A special mention must go to the caterers, Searcy, too, as the staff were fantastic and attentive and the food was superb, every single guest commented on it, and how they’d never tasted anything like it.     All in all, without a doubt the best day of our lives. I’d recommend the beautiful and historic Assembly Rooms to anyone looking for somewhere stunning and memorable to get married – you won’t be disappointed.

  • Mary Herrington | 28 Jul 2010, 15:05 An Austen Inspired Wedding at the Assembly Rooms My husband and I were married at the Assembly Rooms in April 2010.  It was a beautiful space - making everybody (including myself) forget that it was raining cats and dogs outside.  I wore a Vera Wang gown and my husband wore Gieves & Hawkes.  Our ceremony was in the Octagon Room, followed immediately by a cocktail reception in the Card Room where Searcy's served delicious canapes; then our wedding banquet and dancing in the Tea Room, where the stage and dance floor were positioned in the center of the room with round tables on each side and top table a long rectangular table positioned in the centre, opposite the DJ's stage.  We had a Jane Austen inspired wedding with our own cameo profiles donning each of the cards, signs, favours, a bespoke silhouette artist cutting guests' silhouettes, and each table named after a Jane Austen novel or estate.  I also run my own wedding and event planning business called Forever & Ever Events (www.foreverandeverevents.com).  I planned every aspect of my own wedding, but did wish at times that I had professional help!  Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about my wedding or planning services.

  • Kate Ryan | 26 Jul 2010, 17:23 Hurrah for the Assembly Rooms The Walden Wedding was perfect I attended the wedding of my friends Sammy and Jeremy Walden at the Assembly Rooms last weekend. I wanted to write a review as the venue, organisation, and staff were so wonderful and the wedding was really memorable.  My friends got married in the Octagon room which was really beautiful and the music they had (a string quartet) sounded lovely, the room provided the perfect acoustics.  Afterwards we had drinks in the bar and canapes and the staff were really attentive and polite.   We then moved into the tea room (i think) for the meal - not sure who catered but the food was delicious and the service really good. The room looked so magical, the blinds were down which meant the room was atmospheric and twinkly and you could definitely feel the history.  My final congratulations would be to the staff from the chap at the door to the man who made the Pimms all were polte, friendly, and most importantly efficient!  Hats off to the Assembly Rooms, you pulled off a fabulous day!
